Meet our team of instructors that will take you through your class, help you connect to your body, and find your 50 minutes of escape. Each instructor comes to Tunnel with an extensive fitness background and passion for the pilates practice.

Kelly

Founder / Instructor 

Kelly kicked off her career at the renowned DOGPOUND gym in New York City, where she started personal training at just nineteen. By then, she was already working with a high-profile clientele—think Victoria’s Secret models, Olympians, American Ballet Theater ballerinas, and top pop stars. At twenty-one, she set her sights on SoulCycle, auditioning for a program with only a four percent acceptance rate—and she made the cut.
In 2022, Kelly moved to Los Angeles and dove into Pilates coaching at a boutique chain. It didn’t take long before she had built a loyal following, thanks to her attention to detail, strong dance background, and her ability to match every movement with the perfect playlist. Her approach, combining precise technique with music-driven intensity, quickly set her apart from other instructors in the area.
Before long, Kelly developed her own method of teaching Pilates, bringing a fresh, unique style to the local fitness scene.

Kristen

Founder/Instructor

Kristen grew up in New York and has been living in California for the past five years. A lifelong athlete, she competed in both gymnastics and track, which laid the foundation for her love of movement, discipline, and body awareness.
After sustaining multiple injuries—including two major knee surgeries—Kristen turned to Pilates as a low-impact way to stay strong and active. What started as part of her recovery quickly became an essential part of her routine, helping her rebuild from the inside out.
Now a Pilates instructor and studio owner, Kristen brings a creative, music-driven approach to every session. She’s known for her thoughtfully designed playlists that flow with her classes, creating an immersive experience that’s equal parts rhythm, challenge, and release. Her background in athletics, combined with her intuitive style, allows her to lead clients through movement that feels both empowering and inspiring—helping others find strength, balance, and confidence through intentional movement.

Amanda

Instructor 

Meet Amanda, a passionate and dedicated fitness professional on a mission to inspire and empower individuals through movement. Her fitness career started in 2020 as a spin instructor at a local boutique fitness studio in Vancouver, and has now expanded across multiple studios, modalities, and platforms. Amanda has honed her skills to create a transformative experience in all her classes. Her ability to motivate a room through energy, engagement, and rhythm based movement is what sets her apart from others in the industry. Amanda is a certified Personaal Trainer, Senior Spin Instructor at Vancouver’s leading Spin Studio, Group Fitness Coach, and certified Mat + Reformer Pilates Instructor. Each accreditation has allowed Amanda to  develop a depth of knowledge and expertise from multiple fields of movement and amalgamate them into her own unique style of instruction.  Expect not only a technically challenging workout from Amanda’s classes, but also an electrically charged energy driven environment. 

Elisabeth

Instructor 

With a background in dance, Elisabeth was drawn to Pilates for its precision, control, and deep connection to form—elements that felt instantly familiar. She recently graduated from UBC, where she was captain of her dance team, and also dances professionally for the CFL. Her classes focus on clarity: she breaks down each movement so everyone, from first-timers to seasoned pros, feels confident and strong in their body. Fitness brings Elisabeth so much happiness, and she hopes every class leaves you feeling more empowered and energized.

Laura

Instructor 

​Laura is originally from New Zealand and has been living in Vancouver for the past five years. She is a certified nutritionist, qualified personal trainer and Pilates instructor with a passion for movement that supports both strength and longevity. Laura fell in love with Pilates for its ability to challenge the body while building deep core strength, balance, and control. Laura’s classes are intentional and challenging with a focus on form and feel

Nicci

Instructor 

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Nicci grew up immersed in sports, representing provincial teams across various disciplines. Her strong athletic foundation and passion for fitness have been constants throughout her life.

A few years ago, after moving to Canada, Nicci discovered Pilates and quickly fell in love with how the practice challenged her body and mind, deepening her mind-body connection and building strength without putting strain on her body.

Nicci combines her classical Pilates training with Tunnels' contemporary approach to create dynamic classes that fuse her love for movement, athleticism, and music. Her classes inspire clients to move with intention, push their limits while enjoying the process, and improve their overall well-being.

Brooklyn

Instructor 

With a degree in Kinesiology and a background in professional dance, Brooklyn brings an adaptive, educational, and empowering approach to every workout. Her teaching style blends science-backed programming with intuitive movement, rooted in a lifelong passion for purposeful training and building community.

She’s known for her focus on form and ability to create a contagious, motivating space that builds confidence, strength, and self-awareness. Don’t let her golden retriever energy fool you—she’ll serve up a spicy class that’ll leave you trembling and obsessed.
